TRICHOCURE
Indications :-Trichomoniasis and Hexamitiasis in racing pigeons.
Compounds :- A magistral prepared water soluble powder with
a combination of 2 Imidazol compounds Dimetridazol and Ronidazol.
Treatment :- When positive throat swab (Trichomoniasis) or
a positive cloaca-swab (Hexamitiasis) when signs of Trichomoniasis
(yellow moisture on the mucous membrane in the mouth) in the
throat.
Dosage :- 1 measure spoon in 4 litre of water.
Prevention :- When fanciers don’t use the Disinfection
Combination then give Trichocure 1 day after the flight. And
for six days when the pigeons are sitting on eggs.

PARATYPHOID
CURE
Indications :- Salmonellas (Paratyhoid) in racing pigeons.
Compounds :- A magistral prepared combination from sulfonamiden
and trimetroprim.
Treatment :- When signs of salmonella, droppings after testing
bacteriological positive, dark green slimy and wet dropping,
pigeons have lame legs or fly crooked, weight lose, dead youngsters
in the nest, infertile eggs. If suspected lofts administer
after the moult a cure for 14 days. The Paratyphoid Cure is
also active against many other bacteriological gastro-intestinal
infections.
After treatment
clean the loft with disinfectant. If serious infections the
advice is 14 days paratyphoid-cure, then a paratyphoid vaccination,
followed by 1 week paratyphoid cure. After treatment give
multivitamins for 1 week.
After treatment
for severe infections, every six weeks bacteriological test
of the droppings are needed for the duration of 6 months.
Dosage :- 1 spoonful per 2 litre of drinking water for 10
days. When 20 pigeons drink more or less than 1 litre a day,
reduce or raise the dose proportionally. When administering
medicines in the drinking water, provide the quantity they
drink in 1 day. Refresh the water every day.

ORNICURE
Indications :- A magistral prepared water soluble powder for
treatment and control of infections caused by ornithosis-complex
pathogens like sensitive mycoplasmen, Chlamydia and bacteria
in racing pigeons. To use with pigeons with signs from the
ornithose-complex like infected eyes dirty or wet noses, breathing
sounds, red and wet throat, flying with open beak etc.
Dosage :- 1 spoonful per 2 litre of drinking water during
6 days. When 20 pigeons drink more than 1 litre a day reduce
or raise the dose proportionally.
Cure :- 6 days. If serious infections occur, the advise is
to give additionally an injection with Orni-Injection. After
treatment or injection give multivitamins for 2 days.
Prevention :- 1 or 3 days before the day of basketing.
Compounds :- A combination of macro lid antibiotics for the
upper bronchia.

ORNI INJECTION
Compounds :- A magistral prepared inject able combination
from macro lid antibiotics especially active in the respiratory
tract in pigeons.
Indication :- To use on pigeons which have signs from the
ornithose-complex like infected eyes, dirty or wet nose, breathing
sounds, red and wet throat, flying with open beak etc.
Treatment :- The medicine must be injected beneath the skin
(subcutaneous) in the neck. Dose ½ ml per pigeon. In
serious cases repeat after 2 days. The treatment can be administered
up to 2 days before basketing.

COCCICURE
Indications :- Treatment of coccidiosis in racing pigeons
caused by Eimeria spp.
Dosage :- 1 spoonful per 2 litre of drinking water for 6 days.
When 20 pigeons drink more or less than 1 litre a day, reduce

in the drinking water, provide the quantity they drink in
1 day. Refresh the water every day.
Compounds :- A magistral prepared water soluble powder with
a combination from sulfonamids and amprolium. This combination
restores the effect against coccidiosis.
Remark :- To remove the oocysts from the coccidian, clean
the lofts well after treatment. The test of droppings are
needed for the duration of 6 months.
Coccidiosis must
only be treated in case of moderate or severe infections because
coccidiosis is no big problem by racing pigeons. By light
infections is extra hygiene enough. After a cure always give
2 days of multivitamins.

WORMCURE
Indications :- Worm infections from the roundworms ascaridia
or cappillaria (hairworms) in racing pigeons.
Compounds :- A magistral prepared water soluble levamisole
hydrochlorid for a treatment in the drinking water.
Treatment :- When worms are found in the droppings or eggs
from the worms, in a microscope test, are found in the droppings,
a cure must be given. Never administer a cure without these
findings. Don’t treat with youngsters in the nest. Not

Paratyphoid vaccine :- Formolvaccine for Salmonella Typhimurium

10 PFU/Dose. The vaccine is magisterial prepared from at least
4 strains, found regularly by racing pigeons.
Description :- The compound is enough to help the pigeons
to develop immunity to the disease.
Indication :- For active immunisation by racing pigeons against
symptoms caused by Salmonella Typhimurium.
Treatment :- The
vaccine must be injected beneath the skin in the neck. Shake
the bottle well before using. Dose ½ ml per pigeon.
Don’t vaccinate in infected lofts but give first a paratyphoid
treatment.
Diagram :- Young pigeons : Salmo PT can be used from the age
of 6 weeks. But if serious problems occur in the loft it can
be done again after 3 weeks. Adult pigeons : The ideal time
is after breeding and moulting and at least 3 weeks before
paring. You can vaccinate each year. Racing pigeons must be
vaccinated 3 weeks before racing.
