For a number of years the NIPA race programme has provided a choice of venue for their Premier Old Bird National, until this year the alternative was never used. Prior to marking the decision was made that the race for 2024 would be flown from Plougastel-Daoulas, Bretagne in France. A good liberation was had on Friday 28th June with the combined Irish convoy including NIPA released at 7.00am in a 6-7mph North West wind and a good clearance was reported by Convoyer Paddy McNeice.

Clocking a 3 year old House of Aarden flying 409 miles in 10hrs 23 mins velocity 1155ypm having previously finished 14th Open St Malo Old Bird National 2023.
