IHU Nat FC Annual General Meeting 2025

Post by willie reynolds »

The IHUNFC held their AGM and prize presentation on February 1st 2025, the meeting was well attended and took no time to get through the business in hand.
The marking station in Newbridge will re-open in 2025 which should make it easier for members in that area and also Dublin to maybe take park in the Inland Nationals in future.
Good news for the members of the South road federation who are also members of the IHUNFC they will only have to pay the contribution to prize money for the Channel races as they will have already payed the transport fee through the SRF. ( Full costs will for Inland races ).

Race points for 2025 are as follows.
Valentia. May 10th.
Valentia. May 24th.
Dale. May 31st.
Penzance. June 7th.
Penzance o/b June 14th.
Penzance Ygl. June 14th.
St Malo/
Ploughastel June 27th.
Dates are subject to change.
Valentia €1.50 per Bird.
Channel charges to be decided.

After the AGM there was the presentation of prizes for 2024. Which went as follows.
Winners of first Open IHUNFC.
Old birds.
Valentia (1) Ryan Crampton. Monasterevin.
Valentia. (2) Malone & Morrissy. Kilkenny.
Bude. Alan Busteed. Cork.
Penzance (1) M & J Byrne. Dublin.
Penzance (2) Jamie Kelly. Dublin.
Penzance. Ygl. Jamie Kelly. Dublin.
Ploughastel. Byrne & Bradley.
Newtownmountkennedy.

Young Birds.
Valentia. (1) Brennan Bros. Carlow.
Dale. Jamie kelly. Dublin.
Valentia (2) Anthony Kavanagh. Carlow.
Prize Money for 2024 totaled €10270.

With membership rising year on year and a
Ten Race programme for only €50 Membership fee per year, there is no reason why every one should not be National Racing in 2025.
All are welcome, the only stipulation is that IHUNFC members need to be members of the Irish Homing union Northern/Southern Region.
And as can be seen from the winners list, it is possible to win the IHUNFC no matter where you fly in the country.
Enquiries to the Hon Secretary.

or any committee member in your area.
Good luck to all for the 2025 season. Francis Corcoran PO.

UPDATE - IHUNFC News.
Last week whilst doing an update for the IHUNFC
I forgot to mention that there are also marking stations in Waterford and Cork. So the list should read as follows.
Cork.
Waterford.
Kilkenny.
Blackwater.
Newbridge
ISRF for the Channel races.
With the expansion of the IHU NFC will come the need for more marking stations in the future in areas that are not covered at the moment.
