‘DAUGHTER 06’ TOPS THE BUDE NIPA OPEN FOR BURGESS & BRENNAN
Up next for the N.I.P.A. was yet another double racing weekend. A Channel race from Bude in
Cornwall, England and the Yearling Inland National. Up first in my report is the Channel Race from
Bude. Racemarking was held on Friday the 13 th of June in members respective Clubs. A total of 427
Members sent 5,520 Birds across the pond to Bude, England. On Sunday the 15 th of June the Birds
were liberated at 09:00AM in a Light West Wind.

The Open Winning Bird from the third Old Bird Channel Race of the 2025 Season belongs to Burgess
& Brennan of Bangor H.P.S in Section F.
Burgess & Brennan’s Bude, 1 st Open Winner IHU22 N 3211 has been named ‘Daughter 06’ The newly
crowned channel Open Winner is a three year old blue Cheq hen racing on the roundabout system.
She was 4 th Club, 2 nd Dale BBLM. 5 th Section F as a yearling she won Section F from Fermoy. This bird
was bred by Lambert & Stewart of Bangor. And is off his best Rollo Lines. The reason behind the
name ‘Daughter 06’ is being it was bred from a very good pigeon from Lambert & Stewarts Called
‘06’.
Their 2 nd Section F winner was a blue hen she was 1 st Section F, 54 th Open French National last season.
She is off their best distance family.
Many Congratulations to Burgess & Brennan on claiming 1 st N.I.P.A. Open from Bude.

Shifting up the mileage this week to the testing race point that is Bude (Cornwall) never an easy
touch, and conditions after liberation & on route were definitely going to test the convoy to the
max!
This weeks winner finishing 1st & 2nd EAA, 1st & 2nd Sec C and 2nd & 4th open NIPA is none other
that George Robinson of Carrick social. Geo Robinson admits himself he was almost caught out as he
was watching the James Bond film “diamonds are forever” he had an “Oddjob” to do but decided to
head out and watch for the pigeons. As he opened the back door a “Thunderball” came overhead
scaring “The living daylights” out of him. Quickly followed by another one. Two super pigeons. It was
only at the club when “The spy who loved me” Hugh Bigger informed George of other velocities the
realisation started to kick in these were two blinders! Results sheets were printed and were “For
your eyes only”
Back to the serious side, these pigeons are Leo Herman & Dirk Van Den Bulk and both parents were
obtained from Karl Donnelly (Jackpot Lofts) and Sheldon Lennard (FBI)
George has named the winner “Moneypenny”
George wants on the record his thanks to both these guys as these pigeons have improved year on
year producing super results!
Both hens were flew on roundabout and see the cocks everyday when they trap into the corridor
from either loft fly or training.
They only see the cocks for a very short time on basketing night, George also stated his hens are not
on eggs and they have not been paired up, an interesting fact for all to consider.
This is yet another top performance from a loft where we have come to expect such results!
From all at the EAA well done!!
This week takes us to Penzance for the classic, so when you’re sitting on Friday night drinking your
tea, remember……….The world is not enough!

EAA press officer Jonny Baxter
