CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE SEASONS AWARD WINNERS - Steve McGarry PO

The Ulster Federation annual awards presentation was held last weekend . The event took place in the Balmoral Hotel in Belfast and as usual the craic and banter is mighty and all those in attendance really enjoyed themselves . A lot of work goes into this particular evening by hard working secretary Mr Jimmy O'Hara and Jimmy's efforts could be easily seen by the work done on the diplomas that were presented to the seasons winners . Must not forget Paddy O'Neill , Jimmys assistant for the night , these two men really work hard to make the night a top success . After an excellent meal , Jimmy, ably assisted by Paddy , called upon Mrs Paddy O'Neill , George Gaw & Andy McFarland , who between themselves , helped to present the season's awards . The top award and undoubtably the most coveted award within the IHU , The Millar Gold Cup , was first to be presented and Mrs Paddy O'Neill was called upon to present the award . The winners were R McDowell & Son from Annsborough , who were in attendance to receive their award . The top lofts of 2014 in the Ulster Fed winning the Old Bird Fancier Of The Year title was the outstanding racing partnership of T & L Cooke of the Grosvenor club, who also won a number of other awards . Young Bird Fanciers Of The Year were the partnership of R & M McManus of the Fortfield club who also had a fantastic season - Please note - Both partnerships are husband & wife teams - Tony & Lorraine Cooke - Grosvenor - & Robert & Margaret McManus - Fortfield - Congratulations to both partnerships on your top seasons performance . A great night was had by all in attendance . The craic & banter was mighty .
