New NIPA Press Officer – I would like to inform everyone that I have been newly elected as Press Officer for the NIPA and will be covering Sections C, D, F and G in the NIPA in this forthcoming season 2024. I kindly ask for all the Club Secretaries or race Secretaries within these sections to get in contact with me highlighting their club and contact details for the future publication of results, loft reports and any other information for publication. BALLYCLARE & DISTRICT & DOAGH & DISTRICT H.P.S. PRESENTATION NIGHT 2024 -

Ballyclare & District & Doagh & District H.P.S. had their joint annual Dinner & Prizegiving on Friday
the 15 th of November in McConnell’s of Doagh. The Members accompanied by friends and family
packed out the Venue in what was a great night had by all. Mr William McClelland the Chairman of
the Doagh & District H.P.S. got the evening underway by welcoming everyone to the annual
prizegiving thanking all those who helped making it possible and the very best of congratulations to
all who had success in 2024 Season. Also introducing the distinguished guests of the evening. Claire
Kelly, Bertie Blair, Gary Hughes & Myself. Afterwards McConnell’s provided a beautiful 3 course meal
with the selection of Vegetable Soup or Garlic Mushrooms. Roast Beef or Turkey & Ham or Sirloin
Steak Dinner and Pavlova or Apple Pie & Custard for Desert along with Tea/Coffee. The Meal was
enjoyed by all and many thanks to McConnell’s for a fantastic meal and selection. William therefore
got the Presentation of Awards underway with Gary Hughes NIPA Assistant Race Controller
Presenting Doagh & Districts Prizes & Claire Kelly TV Superstar in the Series ‘The Pigeon People’
presenting Ballyclare & Districts Prizes.

After the awards presentation ended there was a Raffle with some great prizes up for grabs. Also, a
select auction was held within the clubrooms on some top flyers donating youngbirds towards the
Club then finishing off the night with some Live Music to end the super evening. Well done to all
who helped organise the event with a great success and thanks to McConnell’s hosting the great
night. Everyone had a brilliant night celebrating every member success.
Congratulations to all the many Prize Winners in both clubs in the past 2024 Racing Season. I was
honoured to be a guest for the evening I want to wish all the members of Doagh & Ballyclare the
very best of health and enjoyable racing in the upcoming 2025 Season.
