was the Inland Race from Grenagh in Co. Cork. A Total of 201 members of the N.I.P.A. sent a total of
4,379 Birds. On Friday morning the 5 th of September the N.I.P.A. Liberated in Grenagh at 9:30AM in a

JOURNEY’S END - N.I.P.A NOTES – SECTIONS C, D, F, & G

The Winning Bird from the 8 th Youngbird Race of the N.I.P.A. Season belongs to Mr & Mrs Stevenson
of Dromara H.P.S. in Section D.
Mr&Mrs Stevenson 1 st Open Grenagh Winner GB25 S 31245 is a very fittingly named 'Bobbies
Angel'. Mr & Mrs Stevenson is not a partnership unfamiliar with winning opens at this time of year,
but this win is extra special. With the regrettable death of one of their clubs’ founders and a
gentleman of the sport, Bobbie Stevenson in July. Bobbies’ wife Fiona and daughter Julie-Anne
decided they would like to race out Bobbies youngbirds in honour of him. He would have been
extremely proud of the result the women have achieved this past weekend.
After a few short tosses and a container toss on the Newry transporter, their youngbirds went to
their first race. Every race after that they've steadily got closer to the front. This pigeon was 8th club
from Roscrea during the week and then went and won the open a few days later.
The winning pigeon perfectly named 'Bobbies Angel' is bred in the purple. This bird was purchased
by Bobbie in the Newry Hospice sale from clubmates and close friends Russell Bros. 'Bobbies Angel'
is a daughter of Russell Bros 2024 NIPA Dunmanway national winner 'Hayleys Comet' when paired to
a son of Philip Boals double open winner 'Perfect Light'.
